I’m a writer and editor who loves creating clear, engaging, and user-centered content.

About Me

I work at Tesla, where I write and maintain the Owner’s Manual for every vehicle in Tesla’s lineup. The Owner’s Manual is viewed by over 1 million unique visitors each month, and localized into 30 languages for audiences in all of the regions in which Tesla does business.

Previously I was at Salesforce, where I wrote and edited content for Trailhead, the fun way to learn. I also wrote UX text for the Trailhead site and mobile app.

I live in San Francisco. Outside of work, I love to cook, garden, and do crossword puzzles. I also play trombone as part of the San Francisco Pride Band.

My Work

Summon (PDF)

This is an excerpt from the Tesla Model 3 Owner’s Manual. The goal of this topic is to teach users how to use Summon, a Tesla Autopilot feature.

Powershare Home Backup

If you have a Cybertruck, a Tesla home charger, and a Tesla Powerwall battery, you can provide power to your home from your vehicle during an outage. This topic explains how to set up and troubleshoot this feature.

Tesla Release Notes (PDF)

Every month, millions of Tesla drivers receive an over-the-air software update with new and updated features for their vehicle. The goal of a release note is to concisely tell a user about a new feature and, if applicable, how to enable it.

Trailhead Basics (PDF)

When I joined the Trailhead team at Salesforce, my first job was to teach users what Trailhead is and how to use it. The goal of this module is to teach first-time users what Trailhead is and how to navigate the site while showcasing the friendly, approachable content that is a hallmark of the platform.

Since I wrote this module, it’s become the most-earned badge on Trailhead with well over one million completions. The linked PDF is an excerpt from the original version as I wrote, but you can also see a revised version on Trailhead right now.
